The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Islamic Teacher - Primary & Secondary to join our team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a school that is focused on academic excellence, innovation, and character development. The role will involve teaching Islamic Studies to both native and non-native students across all key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Islamic Studies lessons to both primary and secondary students.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department to develop and implement the department’s strategic plan.
  • Oversee Islamic Studies Benchmarking Tests (ISBT) assessments.
  • Support the development of innovative and engaging Islamic Studies curriculum content.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching approach.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Stay updated with current Islamic educational trends and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A minimum of a B.Ed. or B.A. in Islamic Studies or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching Islamic Studies to both native and non-native students.
  • Proficiency in delivering Islamic Studies curriculum across primary and secondary levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience with Positive Education (PosEd) principles.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as the National Curriculum of England, IGCSE, or IB.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods, including the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with Islamic Studies Benchmarking Tests (ISBT).
