The Opportunity:

As an IT Technician, you will provide essential technical support for all IT systems and users, ensuring the smooth operation of the school's network, hardware, software, and digital learning platforms. This role is key to maintaining an effective and efficient learning environment for students and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and students, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT equipment and software across the school.
  • Monitor and maintain the security of the school's digital systems and data.
  • Collaborate with the Network Manager to ensure the smooth operation of IT services.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technology and digital learning platforms.
  • Keep detailed records of all IT-related incidents and resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in providing technical support in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital learning platforms and educational technology.
  • Familiarity with IT systems used in schools.
  • Experience with managing IT helpdesk systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
