The Opportunity:

As an IT Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the school’s IT infrastructure. You will ensure that all staff and students have access to reliable and secure technology resources, contributing to the smooth operation of teaching, learning, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support the school’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Install, configure, and manage hardware and software across the school’s network.
  • Implement and maintain IT solutions that enhance teaching and administrative operations.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with best practices for IT systems and cloud-based platforms.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends in educational IT.
  • Document IT processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in an educational or not-for-profit setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, network management, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues and providing timely technical support.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based systems.

Preferred

  • Experience with data security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive and service-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
