The Opportunity:
As an IT Technician, you will provide essential IT support to staff and students while contributing to the development and maintenance of the school’s ICT network. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to staff and students, ensuring seamless use of IT systems and resources.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, and networking equipment.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to plan and develop the school’s ICT network infrastructure.
- Document IT infrastructure changes, including work instructions and solutions to common technical issues.
- Manage workflow using the department’s compliance system, including responding to help desk tickets and maintaining the asset register.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and continuously improve IT services.
- Ensure all IT systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with the school’s educational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in IT support within an educational or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of server, desktop, and network management.
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality support to staff and students.
Preferred
- Experience with educational management systems (MIS).
- Familiarity with compliance and asset management systems.
- Knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, supportive environment.
