The Opportunity:

As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support, resolving IT issues, and maintaining the school’s network and equipment. This role is essential to ensuring the school’s digital systems operate smoothly and efficiently in a Microsoft Windows environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students across the school.
  • Resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, and servers.
  • Support the integration of Apple and Microsoft ecosystems within the school.
  • Assist with the deployment and maintenance of software applications and systems.
  • Document all technical processes and support interactions for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless operations across the school.
  • Stay up to date with the latest IT trends and technologies to enhance the school’s digital capabilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in an IT support role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments and related services.
  • Familiarity with Apple devices and the ability to troubleshoot cross-platform issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with network infrastructure and security protocols.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services and virtual environments.
  • Understanding of educational software and learning management systems.
  • Experience with IT helpdesk software or ticketing systems.
