The Opportunity:
As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support, resolving IT issues, and maintaining the school’s network and equipment. This role is essential to ensuring the school’s digital systems operate smoothly and efficiently in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to staff and students across the school.
- Resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, and servers.
- Support the integration of Apple and Microsoft ecosystems within the school.
- Assist with the deployment and maintenance of software applications and systems.
- Document all technical processes and support interactions for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless operations across the school.
- Stay up to date with the latest IT trends and technologies to enhance the school’s digital capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous experience in an IT support role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments and related services.
- Familiarity with Apple devices and the ability to troubleshoot cross-platform issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with network infrastructure and security protocols.
- Knowledge of IT asset management systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services and virtual environments.
- Understanding of educational software and learning management systems.
- Experience with IT helpdesk software or ticketing systems.
