The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to join our team and provide first-line technical support across the school. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all staff and students have access to reliable IT systems and services. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line IT support and technical administration to staff and students across the school.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the deployment and maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff to ensure smooth operation of the school’s technology infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate records of all support cases and system changes.
  • Support the implementation of new IT initiatives and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in providing first-line IT support in an educational setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using common IT systems and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and security protocols.
  • Previous experience in a school or similar educational environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and training.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £26,500 to £27,000 per annum.
