The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to join our team and provide first-line technical support across the school. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all staff and students have access to reliable IT systems and services. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support and technical administration to staff and students across the school.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with the deployment and maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to ensure smooth operation of the school’s technology infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of all support cases and system changes.
- Support the implementation of new IT initiatives and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in providing first-line IT support in an educational setting.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using common IT systems and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and security protocols.
- Previous experience in a school or similar educational environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £26,500 to £27,000 per annum.
- Generous benefits package, including professional development support.
- 37.5 hours per week, with a 52-week working year.
