Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the academic development of the Junior School.
- Work collaboratively with the team of Deputy Heads to ensure smooth educational operations.
- Champion the school’s values of inclusivity, diversity, and student well-being.
- Support the teaching and learning experience of students across all year groups.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching practices.
- Ensure high standards of academic achievement and pastoral care.
- Represent the school at internal and external events as an ambassador of its mission.
- Contribute to the development of policies and strategies that enhance the educational experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of students and staff.
- Demonstrated experience in academic leadership and team management.
- A relevant teaching qualification and experience in a school environment.
Preferred
- Experience in a senior leadership role within a school.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment practices.
- Experience with diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives.
- A track record of fostering student engagement and academic success.
- Familiarity with independent school operations and standards.
