The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Junior School Teaching Assistant to support and work within our Junior School classes, primarily in Year 5. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support allocated class teachers with daily learning activities and classroom management.
- Provide targeted support to specific children as required, ensuring individual needs are met.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Flexibly manage your schedule to meet the needs of the school and students.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the Junior School day, from 8.15am to 3.30pm.
- Participate in school events and activities as required.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with class teachers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Flexibility and willingness to support a range of students and activities.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from class teachers.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a teaching or support role within a school setting.
- Experience working with children in a primary school environment.
- Knowledge of child development and learning strategies.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and personal development.
