Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2
- Assess and report on student progress, ensuring accurate records and personalized feedback
- Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student learning and well-being
- Manage classroom behavior in a way that promotes self-discipline and respect
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
- Contribute to the school’s ethos and engage with policies that support student success
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
- Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably in upper Key Stage 2
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience working with students with special educational needs
- A passion for creative and engaging teaching methods
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Enthusiasm for contributing to extracurricular activities and school initiatives
