Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2
  • Assess and report on student progress, ensuring accurate records and personalized feedback
  • Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student learning and well-being
  • Manage classroom behavior in a way that promotes self-discipline and respect
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos and engage with policies that support student success

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably in upper Key Stage 2
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • A passion for creative and engaging teaching methods
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to extracurricular activities and school initiatives
