Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and external assessment requirements.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide targeted feedback to support individual growth and achievement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration and student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate actively in the school’s co-curricular programme, enhancing the student experience beyond the classroom.
- Maintain open communication with parents to support student success and build strong partnerships.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching Key Stage 2 with a strong track record of academic achievement.
- In-depth knowledge of the subject area and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent assessment and feedback skills, with experience in external examinations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Commitment to professional development and a passion for education.
- Experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing.
- PGCE, QTS, or equivalent with strong academic qualifications.
Preferred
- Experience in a boarding school environment.
- Leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Experience in curriculum development and department planning.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
