The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and external assessment requirements.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide targeted feedback to support individual growth and achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Participate actively in the school’s co-curricular programme, enhancing the student experience beyond the classroom.
  • Maintain open communication with parents to support student success and build strong partnerships.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Key Stage 2 with a strong track record of academic achievement.
  • In-depth knowledge of the subject area and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent assessment and feedback skills, with experience in external examinations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Commitment to professional development and a passion for education.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing.
  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent with strong academic qualifications.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding school environment.
  • Leadership experience in an educational setting.
  • Experience in curriculum development and department planning.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
