Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and manage a balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum to pupils.
  • Support subject initiatives and contribute to departmental and school-wide strategies.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Raise subject standards through innovative teaching and effective classroom practice.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement teaching strategies.
  • Engage with pupils and parents to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Key Stage 2 education.
  • Strong understanding of dyslexia specialist teaching methods.
  • Proven ability to deliver a differentiated and inclusive curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a co-educational independent school setting.
  • Familiarity with outdoor education and adventure activities.
  • Experience with the Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils (CReStEd).
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
