Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the needs of Key Stage 2 learners.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 2 education.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
  • Fluency in English with a solid understanding of grammar and usage.
  • Proven ability to meet the needs of Key Stage 2 learners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with continuous professional development and teacher training.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) or Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curriculum.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
  • Previous involvement in the Early Career Teacher (ECT) support process.
