The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher to join our dedicated team for a 1-year maternity cover. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners while contributing to a supportive and progressive school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and motivate KS1 students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
- Plan and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and maintain consistent standards of teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
- Participate in school events, extra-curricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A Good Honours Degree
- Strong communication and numeracy skills
- Good IT skills
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience teaching in a primary school setting
- Experience with KS1 curriculum and teaching strategies
- Experience with behaviour management techniques
- Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse learners
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary within the Main Pay Range – Inner London (£40,317 to £52,300)
