The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Class Teacher to join a small, supportive team and lead a mixed-age class of Year One and Year Two students. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact on young learners and support them in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching to a mixed-age class of Year One and Year Two students.
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that promotes curiosity, learning, and personal growth.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional development of all children.
  • Work closely with parents, the community, and the Trust to support children's learning and well-being.
  • Participate in and contribute to the development of the school's enquiry-based curriculum.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and the Headteacher to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Support the school's values and vision through consistent, high-quality teaching and engagement.
  • Engage in continuing professional development to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in KS1 education.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Experience in working with children from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience with play-based and rotational learning approaches.
  • Experience in leading or supporting curriculum development.
  • Experience in working with families and the wider community.
  • Experience in teaching in a small, inclusive school setting.
  • Experience in continuing professional development and reflective practice.
