KS1 Tutor needed in Camberwell with SEN experience.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated KS1 Tutor to provide high-quality support to students in Camberwell. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective tuition to KS1 students with SEN
- Support students in developing academic and personal skills
- Follow the Bright Heart Approach to ensure a nurturing and student-centred learning experience
- Maintain detailed records and provide regular feedback to parents and the school
- Attend training and development sessions to enhance teaching and safeguarding practices
- Collaborate with other tutors and education consultants to ensure consistent support for students
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student
- Ensure a safe and respectful learning environment at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in KS1 curriculum areas
- A university qualification or currently studying towards one
- A current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Passion for teaching and supporting students with SEN
Preferred
- Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred teaching methods
- Previous experience in SEN tuition or teaching
- Familiarity with creating and following individual learning plans (ILPs)
- Experience with online or in-person tutoring
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
