The Opportunity:

As a KS2 Classroom Teacher, you will play a central role in shaping young minds during a crucial stage of their learning journey. You’ll deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across a broad primary curriculum while fostering a supportive, stimulating classroom environment. This is a part-time, fixed-term position needed from January 2026 for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Foster a supportive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes academic and personal development
  • Support each child’s social, emotional, and physical growth both inside and outside the classroom
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with parents to ensure the best outcomes for every pupil
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners using a variety of strategies and resources
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practice

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Solid understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Experience in teaching KS2 students
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Commitment to pupil wellbeing and behaviour management

Preferred

  • Experience with ICT in the classroom
  • Experience in a collaborative school environment
  • Experience with professional development and continuous improvement
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Experience with cross-curricular teaching and learning
