The Opportunity:
As a KS2 Classroom Teacher, you will play a central role in shaping young minds during a crucial stage of their learning journey. You’ll deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across a broad primary curriculum while fostering a supportive, stimulating classroom environment. This is a part-time, fixed-term position needed from January 2026 for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum
- Foster a supportive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes academic and personal development
- Support each child’s social, emotional, and physical growth both inside and outside the classroom
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Build strong relationships with parents to ensure the best outcomes for every pupil
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners using a variety of strategies and resources
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practice
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Solid understanding of the National Curriculum
- Experience in teaching KS2 students
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to pupil wellbeing and behaviour management
Preferred
- Experience with ICT in the classroom
- Experience in a collaborative school environment
- Experience with professional development and continuous improvement
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection policies
- Experience with cross-curricular teaching and learning
