The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Science and Computing Teacher to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds through engaging lessons in science and computing, while also contributing to the pastoral care of students as a form teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Science and Computing for Key Stage 2 students.
- Support the development of students’ scientific and technological knowledge and skills.
- Act as a form teacher, providing pastoral care and contributing to the overall well-being of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree or qualification in education or a subject-related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in Science and Computing.
- Experience in teaching at Key Stage 2 level.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to take on the role of a form teacher.
Preferred
- Experience in pastoral care or student support.
- Familiarity with teaching Computing or Technology at primary level.
- Experience with curriculum planning and assessment.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
