The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated KS3 and KS4 Maths Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and emotional development. This role offers the chance to inspire a love of learning and support students with SEMH needs through a structured, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3–4, aligned with the UK curriculum.
  • Support students in building confidence, problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset in mathematics.
  • Collaborate with therapists, pastoral staff, and learning support assistants to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to the development of enrichment activities, off-site learning, and community initiatives.
  • Implement trauma-informed and restorative teaching practices to support student wellbeing.
  • Work closely with multi-agency professionals to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and curriculum development projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong knowledge of the UK mathematics curriculum (KS2–KS4)
  • Understanding of SEMH/SEND and neurodiverse learners
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, restorative practice
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in a special or alternative provision setting
  • Knowledge of therapeutic or low-arousal behaviour strategies (e.g. Team Teach/MAPA CPI)
  • Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals
