Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons tailored to the needs of KS3 students.
- Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs through a compassionate and structured approach.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the school’s curriculum and Refocus programme.
- Provide high-quality feedback and critique to help students improve their learning and personal development.
- Promote a culture of respect, leadership, and self-belief among students.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies.
- Ensure the safe and effective delivery of lessons in a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning across the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 3 education.
- Proven ability to work with students with complex needs, including social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
- Experience in alternative provision or special educational needs settings.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering creative and real-world learning opportunities.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies for student engagement.
- Experience with curriculum development and leadership.
- Familiarity with post-16 pathways and transitions.
