The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Latin to students from Year 5 to Year 8 with a focus on academic excellence and personal development.
  • Contribute to the development of the Languages programme through co-curricular activities and additional responsibilities.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised teaching and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to the wider academic and cultural life of the school.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Latin at the primary or secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Latin and the ability to inspire a passion for the language.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality education to students in a school setting.
  • Commitment to student success and a positive, proactive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching other subjects or in a co-curricular capacity.
  • Familiarity with the PSB framework and 21st century educational approaches.
  • Experience with a broad and balanced curriculum in a preparatory school setting.
  • Background in working within an inclusive and diverse educational environment.
