The Opportunity:

As a Lead Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing the in-house clinical team, delivering bespoke assessments and interventions for students with complex needs. This is a unique opportunity to shape clinical practice and support the growth of both pupils and colleagues within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the in-house clinical team, providing supervision and support to therapy staff
  • Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with autism, neurodivergence, and SEMH needs
  • Coordinate the line management of clinical team members and ensure service development aligns with the school’s goals
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and Regional Clinical Lead to deliver targeted, outcome-focused support
  • Ensure all clinical activities meet the requirements of EHCP plans and the school’s core values
  • Participate in research projects, special interest groups, and clinical network training and development
  • Maintain clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
  • Support the growth and development of apprentices, students, and therapy assistants

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Psychotherapy, or registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC
  • Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a relevant professional body
  • Experience working with autistic individuals and those with complex needs
  • Ability to provide supervision and support to a therapy team
  • Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty
  • Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle

Preferred

  • Experience in research or special interest groups
  • Experience with developing clinical services and training
  • Experience working within a growing and developing clinical service

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
  • £5,000 Welcome Bonus (payable in two installments)
