The Opportunity:
As a Lead Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing the in-house clinical team, delivering bespoke assessments and interventions for students with complex needs. This is a unique opportunity to shape clinical practice and support the growth of both pupils and colleagues within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the in-house clinical team, providing supervision and support to therapy staff
- Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with autism, neurodivergence, and SEMH needs
- Coordinate the line management of clinical team members and ensure service development aligns with the school’s goals
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and Regional Clinical Lead to deliver targeted, outcome-focused support
- Ensure all clinical activities meet the requirements of EHCP plans and the school’s core values
- Participate in research projects, special interest groups, and clinical network training and development
- Maintain clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
- Support the growth and development of apprentices, students, and therapy assistants
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Psychotherapy, or registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC
- Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a relevant professional body
- Experience working with autistic individuals and those with complex needs
- Ability to provide supervision and support to a therapy team
- Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty
- Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle
Preferred
- Experience in research or special interest groups
- Experience with developing clinical services and training
- Experience working within a growing and developing clinical service
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
- £5,000 Welcome Bonus (payable in two installments)
- 4 days per week with full pay (subject to successful completion of probation)
