The Opportunity:
As a Lead Maths Teacher Key Stage 3, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of maths education at a school undergoing exciting development. You will be responsible for leading the faculty and delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to extend into A level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to Key Stage 3 students, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 4 and A level.
- Lead and support the development of the maths faculty, contributing to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards and enhance student achievement.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of a dynamic and innovative curriculum.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusive practice and professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Contribute to the school’s wider community initiatives and events.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant maths experience.
- Proven ability to teach Key Stage 3 maths, with experience in Key Stage 4 and A level desirable.
- Strong commitment to raising student achievement and professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a faculty or department.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
- Experience with 14-19 collaboration and post-16 provision.
- Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and exam results.
