The Opportunity:

As a Lead Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping teaching and learning across the school. You will support colleagues through individual coaching and group professional development, while continuing to deliver high-quality lessons. This is a unique chance to influence educational outcomes on a broader scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support staff individually to enhance their teaching practice through coaching and guidance.
  • Facilitate small group Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions and workshops.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure consistent and effective teaching and learning across the school.
  • Model excellent classroom practice and demonstrate a deep understanding of pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address professional development needs.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and issues in education.
  • Encourage and inspire others to reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the school’s teaching and learning culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as an outstanding classroom teacher at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to guide and support colleagues effectively.
  • Experience in developing the practice of teachers at various professional stages.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A reflective, resilient, and highly-competent individual.

Preferred

  • Experience in leadership or mentoring roles within education.
  • Knowledge of current educational research and best practices.
  • Experience with professional development initiatives and coaching.
  • Confidence in working autonomously while being a collaborative team player.
