The Opportunity:
As a Lead Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping teaching and learning across the school. You will support colleagues through individual coaching and group professional development, while continuing to deliver high-quality lessons. Key Responsibilities:
- Support staff individually to enhance their teaching practice through coaching and guidance.
- Facilitate small group Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions and workshops.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure consistent and effective teaching and learning across the school.
- Model excellent classroom practice and demonstrate a deep understanding of pedagogy.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address professional development needs.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and issues in education.
- Encourage and inspire others to reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the overall development of the school’s teaching and learning culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as an outstanding classroom teacher at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to guide and support colleagues effectively.
- Experience in developing the practice of teachers at various professional stages.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reflective, resilient, and highly-competent individual.
Preferred
- Experience in leadership or mentoring roles within education.
- Knowledge of current educational research and best practices.
- Experience with professional development initiatives and coaching.
- Confidence in working autonomously while being a collaborative team player.
