Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of high-quality teaching and learning strategies in mathematics.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and Extended Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Model exemplary classroom practice and provide mentorship to colleagues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to raise achievement across key stages.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment for students.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching and learning practices.
  • Support the professional development of staff within the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a teacher with a strong track record in mathematics education.
  • Demonstrated ability to raise achievement and inspire students across key stages.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with colleagues and senior leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of caring, learning, and succeeding.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.
