Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the development of high-quality teaching and learning strategies in mathematics.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and Extended Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement.
- Model exemplary classroom practice and provide mentorship to colleagues.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise achievement across key stages.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment for students.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the mathematics curriculum.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching and learning practices.
- Support the professional development of staff within the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a teacher with a strong track record in mathematics education.
- Demonstrated ability to raise achievement and inspire students across key stages.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills with colleagues and senior leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.
- Commitment to the school’s values of caring, learning, and succeeding.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a school setting.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.
