A Learning Associate is needed to support students in class and in small groups, helping them develop academically and personally. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in class and in small group settings.
  • Encourage students to become independent learners.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student development.
  • Assist with the delivery of curriculum content in a structured and supportive way.
  • Promote emotional, social, and personal growth among students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • C grade or higher in GCSE English, Mathematics, and Science (or equivalent).
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to encourage and support student independence.
  • A broad general education.
  • Commitment to student academic, emotional, social, and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
  • Experience in a similar role, such as a Learning Associate or teaching assistant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: £26,403 - £26,824 (pro-rata £19,212 plus Crawley Weighting).
  • Term-time only working hours: 8.15am-3.00pm Monday to Friday.
