The Opportunity:
As a Learning Coach, you will provide tailored support to pupils in a disadvantaged community, helping them achieve their full potential. This is a maternity cover role, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in a one-to-one, small group, and whole class setting.
- Assist teachers with planning, preparing, and delivering lessons.
- Contribute to the development of individual learning plans.
- Monitor and track pupil progress and report back to teachers.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to enhance pupil outcomes.
- Follow the National Curriculum and ensure alignment with school objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with children in a school setting.
- Working knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Ability to support learning and teaching effectively.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to working with disadvantaged pupils.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a leadership specialism.
- Familiarity with Star Academies values and mission.
- Experience in a faith-based educational setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
