The Opportunity:
As a Learning Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting secondary students with their learning, confidence, and wellbeing. This is a term-time only position offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with their learning through tailored, individualised approaches
- Help students build independence, resilience, and a sense of achievement
- Work with students with additional needs, including SEND and EAL
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with students and their families
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development
- Provide a consistent, caring presence throughout students' school journey
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student outcomes
- Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or willingness to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to use IT effectively
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Positive, patient, and approachable attitude
- Passion for making a difference in students’ lives
Preferred
- Previous experience supporting children or young people
- Experience with Teaching Assistant apprenticeships or similar qualifications
- Experience working with students with additional needs
