The Opportunity:

As a Learning Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting secondary students with their learning, confidence, and wellbeing. This is a term-time only position offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with their learning through tailored, individualised approaches
  • Help students build independence, resilience, and a sense of achievement
  • Work with students with additional needs, including SEND and EAL
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with students and their families
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social development
  • Provide a consistent, caring presence throughout students' school journey
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student outcomes
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or willingness to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to use IT effectively
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
  • Positive, patient, and approachable attitude
  • Passion for making a difference in students’ lives

Preferred

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people
  • Experience with Teaching Assistant apprenticeships or similar qualifications
  • Experience working with students with additional needs
