The Opportunity:

As a Learning Enrichment Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with individual learning needs and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This is a vital position that directly impacts student growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively produce Individual Enrichment Plans to support student learning goals.
  • Maintain daily communication with parents to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and celebrate their achievements and effort.
  • Assist students in participating in school activities and reinforce learning in small groups or one-on-one.
  • Oversee student behaviour during non-classroom times such as breaks and excursions.
  • Support the preparation and use of individualised learning materials.
  • Observe and record student behaviour and performance on a daily basis.
  • Assist in the assessment and observation of students to support their learning needs.
  • Adjust lesson plans to accommodate students’ behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Reinforce social and personal skills to support student inclusion and success.
  • Attend professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and support strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing student and classroom needs.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational support setting.
  • Experience with special educational needs or inclusive learning strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum frameworks such as the British curriculum.
  • Experience with behaviour management and social skills development.
  • Proficiency in using educational software and record-keeping systems.
