The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Mentor – Behaviour and Inclusion to join our Pastoral Team. This role is pivotal in supporting students across all key stages and ensuring they receive the guidance and care needed to thrive. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student behaviour, attendance, and inclusion.
- Work closely with students, staff, and parents to support the emotional and academic needs of pupils.
- Deliver targeted interventions to address barriers to learning and improve student outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Pupil Support Hub Coordinator to ensure consistent support across the school.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support programmes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, promoting their personal development and well-being.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and intervention outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in developing and delivering behaviour, attendance, and inclusion support programmes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds and supporting their academic and personal growth.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting, particularly within pastoral care or student support roles.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
- Experience with whole-school behaviour management strategies and interventions.
- Familiarity with pastoral care frameworks and best practices in student support.
