As a Learning Resource Facilitator, you will play a key role in supporting students through study skills development and maintaining a positive, productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in study zones and supervised study areas through one-to-one and group sessions.
- Provide guidance on study skills to promote independent learning and academic success.
- Manage and maintain learning resources, including books, e-resources, and digital platforms.
- Assist students with accessing and using learning materials effectively.
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure the smooth operation of the Learning Resource Centres.
- Monitor and report on student progress and engagement within the study areas.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a library or learning resource setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support students of all ages and abilities.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
- Basic knowledge of digital resources and study skills.
Preferred
- Experience in education or student support services.
- Familiarity with teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience with e-resources and digital platforms.
- Previous experience in a college or tertiary education setting.
