Learning Resource Facilitator needed to support student success in study zones and supervised study.

The Opportunity:

As a Learning Resource Facilitator, you will play a key role in supporting students through study skills development and maintaining a positive, productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in study zones and supervised study areas through one-to-one and group sessions.
  • Provide guidance on study skills to promote independent learning and academic success.
  • Manage and maintain learning resources, including books, e-resources, and digital platforms.
  • Assist students with accessing and using learning materials effectively.
  • Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure the smooth operation of the Learning Resource Centres.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and engagement within the study areas.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a library or learning resource setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support students of all ages and abilities.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
  • Basic knowledge of digital resources and study skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or student support services.
  • Familiarity with teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience with e-resources and digital platforms.
  • Previous experience in a college or tertiary education setting.
