The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully participate in the school community. You will work closely with teachers and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes growth and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1-1 support to students with special educational needs to help them integrate into the school environment.
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans in line with the student’s IEP goals.
• Encourage independence and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
• Support and facilitate peer interaction and social engagement for the student.
• Collaborate with the Learning Support Team, class teachers, and parents to ensure consistent support.
• Prepare and adapt learning materials that align with the general curriculum and IEP requirements.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with parents, teachers, and external experts.
• Maintain the highest professional standards and uphold the school’s reputation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with children with barriers to learning.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Already living in the Netherlands with a valid working visa.
• Full-time availability.

Preferred

• A recognized teaching qualification, including a Bachelor’s Degree and PGCE or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching or teaching support roles.
• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
