Learning Support Assistant job opportunity with a focus on SEND support and 4-day working week.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting individual pupils with a range of social, emotional, and learning challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual pupils requiring 1:1 assistance with social, emotional, and learning challenges.
  • Collaborate with external agencies such as Social Workers, Speech and Language Therapists, and Educational Psychologists.
  • Promote the welfare and personal development of pupils within a therapeutic and inclusive environment.
  • Work closely with families, carers, and the wider community to support pupils' progress.
  • Assist with the administration and organisation of the school as required.
  • Undertake tasks outside the main teaching area when necessary.
  • Take responsibility for assigned duties and review them annually as part of the performance management cycle.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience working in a SEND school environment.
  • A grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.

Preferred

  • Experience working with pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Experience in a therapeutic or inclusive educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies and support teams.
