The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support students in their academic, social, and life skills development. This role plays a vital part in helping students build confidence and achieve their potential in a nurturing and flexible learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their academic and personal development through one-to-one and group sessions.
  • Assist in the delivery of a bespoke, differentiated curriculum tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to help students make informed choices about their learning pathways.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to student learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the teaching team.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of learning materials and resources.
  • Support students in accessing both in-school and remote learning opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
  • Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) is desirable.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or learning support settings.
  • Knowledge of blended learning and online resources.
  • Experience in developing individualized learning plans.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
