The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, helping them achieve their full potential in all areas of the curriculum. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special needs in a one-to-one or small group setting
- Assist with the delivery of learning activities across the curriculum
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop individual learning plans
- Monitor and report on student progress and development
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working in a similar school environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Organised and detail-oriented with a professional attitude
- Commitment to supporting students with special needs
Preferred
- Previous experience in special needs education
- Qualifications in education or related fields
- Experience with curriculum development and delivery
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies
