The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in a dynamic, inclusive environment. Your work will directly impact the lives of pupils with diverse needs, helping them reach their full potential through tailored learning and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual pupils and small groups to engage and learn effectively
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, delivery, and classroom management
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and classroom environments
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage participation and progress
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual learning plans
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to supporting students with complex needs

Preferred

  • Experience in an SEN/ASC setting
  • Background in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, or leisure
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices
