The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting students to access the curriculum and achieve their academic and personal goals. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people within a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering learning across a broad and balanced curriculum
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support engagement and achievement
- Assist in the development and delivery of individual education and behaviour programmes
- Prepare and organise learning materials, resources, and equipment
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development using consistent positive approaches
- Record educational, social, and behavioural information within agreed frameworks
- Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and learning environments
- Support behaviour management in line with school policies and guidance
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSEs in Maths and English, grade C/4 or above
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Experience with students with special educational needs
- Experience with behaviour management strategies
- Experience with therapeutic or trauma-informed approaches to education
