The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to support students in the classroom, both one-on-one and in small groups, while also contributing to the creation of engaging and inclusive lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in the classroom through 1:1 and small group interactions.
  • Prepare and assist in the delivery of learning materials and activities.
  • Help create inclusive, engaging, and creative lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage independence and self-confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to enhance student outcomes.
  • Promote a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist in the implementation of therapeutic and outdoor learning activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance support skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support others.
  • Commitment to helping pupils achieve and grow.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Preferred

  • Experience working with children in an SEN/ASC environment.
  • Previous experience in education or customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, or leisure.
  • Qualifications such as Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3.
  • NVQ Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3.
