The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to support students in the classroom, both one-on-one and in small groups, while also contributing to the creation of engaging and inclusive lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in the classroom through 1:1 and small group interactions.
- Prepare and assist in the delivery of learning materials and activities.
- Help create inclusive, engaging, and creative lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage independence and self-confidence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to enhance student outcomes.
- Promote a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Assist in the implementation of therapeutic and outdoor learning activities.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance support skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and support others.
- Commitment to helping pupils achieve and grow.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence
Preferred
- Experience working with children in an SEN/ASC environment.
- Previous experience in education or customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, or leisure.
- Qualifications such as Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3.
- NVQ Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3.
