As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning needs, helping them achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with learning needs through individual and group interventions.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of structured learning activities tailored to student needs.
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks related to student progress.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Provide one-to-one support where necessary to help students overcome learning barriers.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.
- Collaborate with parents and carers to support student progress and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to supporting students with learning needs.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check and complete a KCSIE Declaration.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Previous experience in a learning support or teaching assistant role.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience in delivering targeted interventions.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pro-rata salary £23,046 - £25,380 (full time equivalent: £26,824 - £29,540).
