The Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive and organised Learning Support Assistant to provide essential teaching and learning support to students. This role plays a key part in helping students achieve their full potential, particularly those who need additional emotional and behavioural support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in lessons through one-to-one and group assistance
  • Implement and lead individual interventions to support student progress
  • Liaise with parents, carers, teachers, and other professionals as required
  • Prepare resources and assist with SEN departmental administration
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff to ensure student needs are met
  • Provide 1:1 support to students in a safe and encouraging environment
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and follow school procedures for resource management

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and provide 1:1 support to students
  • Experience or willingness to support students with emotional and behavioural needs
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in education, teaching, or youth work
  • Previous experience in a similar support role
  • Training or experience in special educational needs (SEN) support
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
