Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the education, supervision, and welfare of students in assigned classes and throughout the school
  • Create a positive and professional atmosphere that reflects the school’s core values and ethos
  • Support students in developing their academic and personal skills
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a consistent and effective learning environment
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs
  • Promote a culture of respect, achievement, and enjoyment among students
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the school day and events
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support provided

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong ability to work with young people and build positive relationships
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Flexibility and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement

Preferred

  • Experience in education or support roles
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in working with students with additional needs
  • Previous experience in a school environment
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices
