Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the education, supervision, and welfare of students in assigned classes and throughout the school
- Create a positive and professional atmosphere that reflects the school’s core values and ethos
- Support students in developing their academic and personal skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a consistent and effective learning environment
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs
- Promote a culture of respect, achievement, and enjoyment among students
- Contribute to the smooth running of the school day and events
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support provided
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong ability to work with young people and build positive relationships
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Flexibility and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement
Preferred
- Experience in education or support roles
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in working with students with additional needs
- Previous experience in a school environment
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices
