Summary:

Learning Support Practitioner needed to support students and provide technical assistance at a school.

A school dedicated to providing innovative and industry-relevant education for students aged 14 to 19, with a strong focus on creative and technical disciplines.

The Opportunity:

A Learning Support Practitioner is needed to support students with their educational and social needs, while also offering technical assistance to Production Arts and ESA Productions. This role plays a key part in helping students achieve their full potential in a dynamic and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities in both academic and social settings.
  • Provide technical assistance to Production Arts and ESA Productions, ensuring smooth operation of creative projects.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO to develop and implement individual learning plans.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored support to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support interventions.
  • Support students in developing essential life and employability skills.
  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure a consistent approach to student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of technical production processes in film, TV, or theatre.
  • Experience with assistive technologies or learning support tools.
  • Understanding of industry-standard practices in the creative sector.
