The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will provide one-to-one support to students, helping them achieve their full potential in education and life skills. This is a vital role in shaping the future of young adults with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students during education sessions, residential activities, and at the school hotel.
- Assist students in developing life and hospitality skills to prepare for independent living and employment.
- Manage student behavior in a professional and supportive manner.
- Work closely with tutors to track and document student progress.
- Create engaging and effective learning resources tailored to individual needs.
- Uphold confidentiality and respect the dignity of all students at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 in English and Maths
- Willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in education
Preferred
- Experience in a care or education setting
- Understanding of working with people with learning disabilities
- Experience in a similar support role
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate between £12.87 - £14.03
