The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Teacher to join our SEN team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students from Year 1 to Year 8. This role involves providing one-to-one and group support, as well as assisting classroom teachers in supporting students with SEN and EAL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group learning support to students with SEN and EAL.
- Conduct in-classroom observations to support teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement support strategies.
- Deliver targeted interventions to help students achieve their full potential.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Engage in the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience working with students with SEN.
- Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and support techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience with EAL support strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum planning and differentiation.
- Experience in a boarding or family-based school setting.
- Flexibility to work in a rural location with a strong sense of community.
