The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Teacher to join our SEN team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students from Year 1 to Year 8. This role involves providing one-to-one and group support, as well as assisting classroom teachers in supporting students with SEN and EAL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group learning support to students with SEN and EAL.
  • Conduct in-classroom observations to support teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement support strategies.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Engage in the wider school community through extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience working with students with SEN.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and support techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience with EAL support strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum planning and differentiation.
  • Experience in a boarding or family-based school setting.
  • Flexibility to work in a rural location with a strong sense of community.
