Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons on Construction (Plumbing) courses.
- Contribute to the development of innovative teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
- Train and assess learners in real-world environments when required.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress both in the classroom and in the workplace.
- Support learners in achieving their full potential through personalized guidance and feedback.
- Stay up to date with industry practices and ensure course content reflects current standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Participate in the Lecturer Development Programme to further your teaching and professional skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- PGCE or commitment to obtain one.
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in construction (plumbing).
- Demonstrated knowledge of key industry practices.
- Up-to-date occupational experience in construction (plumbing).
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS check.
Preferred
- Experience in the use of CAD software.
- Experience in teaching or training within a post-16 education setting.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of circa £43,748 per annum.
