Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons on Construction (Plumbing) courses.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
  • Train and assess learners in real-world environments when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress both in the classroom and in the workplace.
  • Support learners in achieving their full potential through personalized guidance and feedback.
  • Stay up to date with industry practices and ensure course content reflects current standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in the Lecturer Development Programme to further your teaching and professional skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • PGCE or commitment to obtain one.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in construction (plumbing).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key industry practices.
  • Up-to-date occupational experience in construction (plumbing).
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

  • Experience in the use of CAD software.
  • Experience in teaching or training within a post-16 education setting.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
