The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our Construction department and shape the future of technical education. This role offers the chance to deliver innovative courses and support learners in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging Electrical Installation courses, including T Level BSE or equivalent;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of teaching, learning, and assessment strategies;
  • Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress and achievement;
  • Support learners in developing practical and theoretical knowledge in electrical systems;
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate them into teaching;
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the learning environment;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of education;
  • Participate in the Lecturer Development Programme to build and refine teaching skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years industry experience with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation;
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths;
  • Commitment to obtaining a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification;
  • Proven experience with electronic and electrical systems, including industrial, power, and control systems;
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in education;
  • Current occupational experience in the electrical sector;
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or training within an educational setting;
  • Familiarity with T Level qualifications or equivalent;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience with fault finding procedures and control systems.
