The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Lecturer in Graphics and Illustration to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to shape student learning and achievement through high-quality teaching in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach on a range of courses, including CTEC Level 2 Art and Design and digital illustration.
- Provide pastoral support and contribute to student progress through timely reporting and reviews.
- Act as a Course Leader when required and collaborate with colleagues to meet student needs.
- Develop and maintain inclusive learning resources and support students with diverse learning needs.
- Contribute to curriculum design, resource development, and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Graphics and Illustration or a related field.
- Appropriate teacher training qualification or working towards one.
- Excellent teaching skills with a strong understanding of Art & Design theory.
- High-level practical skills in Graphics and Illustration.
- Ability to develop effective learning resources and keep up to date with industry developments.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering theoretical units on vocational Art & Design programmes.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a teaching environment.
- Empathy and commitment to supporting individual student needs.
