The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Lecturer in Graphics and Illustration to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to shape student learning and achievement through high-quality teaching in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach on a range of courses, including CTEC Level 2 Art and Design and digital illustration.
  • Provide pastoral support and contribute to student progress through timely reporting and reviews.
  • Act as a Course Leader when required and collaborate with colleagues to meet student needs.
  • Develop and maintain inclusive learning resources and support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Contribute to curriculum design, resource development, and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Graphics and Illustration or a related field.
  • Appropriate teacher training qualification or working towards one.
  • Excellent teaching skills with a strong understanding of Art & Design theory.
  • High-level practical skills in Graphics and Illustration.
  • Ability to develop effective learning resources and keep up to date with industry developments.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering theoretical units on vocational Art & Design programmes.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a teaching environment.
  • Empathy and commitment to supporting individual student needs.
