Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the school library, ensuring resources are accessible and up to date.
- Support the delivery of food and art-related activities, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Conduct risk assessments and adhere to health and safety regulations in all areas of responsibility.
- Assist in the development and implementation of library and practical learning programmes.
- Maintain accurate records and administrative systems related to library and practical activities.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the learning experience for students.
- Ensure the effective use of resources and equipment in the food and art areas.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Levels or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent.
- Experience in a library role and understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment.
- Experience working in an educational environment and keeping work records.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and manage practical work safely.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
Preferred
- Experience with food and art-related activities in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of library management systems.
- Experience in supporting student learning and development.
- Commitment to leadership and character development in education.
