The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the school library, ensuring resources are accessible and up to date.
  • Support the delivery of food and art-related activities, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and adhere to health and safety regulations in all areas of responsibility.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of library and practical learning programmes.
  • Maintain accurate records and administrative systems related to library and practical activities.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and equipment in the food and art areas.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Levels or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent.
  • Experience in a library role and understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment.
  • Experience working in an educational environment and keeping work records.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and manage practical work safely.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.

Preferred

  • Experience with food and art-related activities in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of library management systems.
  • Experience in supporting student learning and development.
  • Commitment to leadership and character development in education.
