The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and organize library resources to ensure easy access for students and staff
• Promote a culture of reading through engaging events such as book fairs, reading clubs, and storytelling sessions
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate library resources into the curriculum and support student learning
• Maintain and update library management systems and cataloguing techniques
• Develop and deliver programs that encourage literacy and lifelong learning among young learners
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers to support educational goals
• Ensure the library is a welcoming, inclusive, and well-maintained space for all users
• Stay current with digital tools and technologies for resource management and library services

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a librarian or in an educational setting
• Familiarity with British curriculum requirements for primary education
• Strong knowledge of library management systems and cataloguing techniques
• Excellent communication skills tailored to young learners

Preferred

• Experience organizing events such as book fairs and reading clubs
• Proficiency in using digital tools for resource management
• Experience working in an international or multicultural environment
