Join a school’s Library Specialist team and support student learning from Early Years through Grade 5.

The Opportunity:
As a Library Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting student learning and developing information literacy skills from Early Years through Grade 5. You will collaborate with the PYP team to create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that align with the IB Primary Years Programme and support student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement information literacy programs that align with the IB PYP and support student inquiry.
- Design and deliver engaging library sessions that foster a love of reading and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate information and digital literacy across the curriculum.
- Support the development of student research skills and ethical use of information.
- Manage library resources and ensure they are accessible and up-to-date.
- Promote reading engagement and a culture of curiosity and inquiry.
- Participate in school-wide professional development and collaborative planning.
- Provide guidance to students and teachers on effective use of library and digital resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Library and Information Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in library leadership or information literacy instruction.
- Knowledge of the IB PYP and familiarity with information literacy frameworks.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering reading engagement and student inquiry.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Education or Library and Information Science.
- Experience with inquiry-based learning environments.
- Familiarity with ISTE Standards or similar digital literacy frameworks.
