Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver life skills programmes tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Support pupils in developing independence, social confidence, and practical abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure continuity and effectiveness of learning
  • Track pupil progress and contribute to reporting and reviews
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Develop creative and engaging learning activities that support pupils’ personal growth
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary therapists to support pupils’ development
  • Ensure that learning outcomes are effectively transferred into the classroom

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in special education
  • Experience working with pupils with autism and complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff
  • Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Preferred

  • Experience in designing and delivering life skills programmes
  • Knowledge of therapeutic and holistic approaches to education
  • Experience with behaviour management and support strategies
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners
